If I knew then, what I know now, what would I have told myself to prepare for the future?......
1. Things don't stay the same.
2. They always tell you about the 'happily ever after', & yet they don't tell you what happens after the 'happily ever after.'
3. Do more things, stop being such a wuss.
4. Study harder, stop slacking off.
5. Keep exercising, especially when pregnant & after having kids!! Even if you're exhausted & worn out & think you can't do it, find something that you can do & DO IT. Because once you stop it is soooooooo hard to get going again.
6. Don't lose myself, while taking care of the kids & the house.
7. Have regular date nights with my hubby. Make it a priority.
8. Go on more family vacations.
9. Stop being so afraid of trying new things.
10. Instead of just enjoying watching other people dance, take lessons & learn to dance myself.
11. Don't quit piano lessons, you'll regret it later on.
12. Stop being so uptight about trying to have a clean house. It doesn't help!
13. Cherish the moments I have with my kids while they're little. They grow up way too fast, and pretty soon they don't want to hang out with mom anymore. (hopefully that's not the case, though)
14. Take more pictures of Mikayla when she was little. I have hours upon hours of home video, but hardly any pictures until she was almost 3.
15. Stop beating yourself up all the time.
16. No matter what! Believe in yourself.
17. Be confident. Not cocky, but self assured.
18. Visit my grandparents more, before I no longer can.
19. Take swimming lessons.
20. Travel more, see new places. Discover what else is out there in the world. Spread my wings.
21. Get more sleep!
22. Take better care of self.
23. Get a degree in something before you start a family, so you'll have something to fall back on when you're kids are in school.
24. Listen more to your parents, they went through a lot of the same things you went through. They could have saved you a lot of heartache.
25. Help my mom more.
26. Learn how to cook from my mom. You'll kick yourself later for not doing so. When I first got married my husband informed me that dinner out of a box wasn't gonna cut it! :)
27. Be nicer to younger siblings, growing up.
28. Keep in better touch with all your friends after you're married, you'll regret it if you don't.
29. Don't ever lose faith in people. (Even when you become de-sensitized while working at customer service @ Wal-Mart.) Most people are generally good, it's just those select few that aren't. Not everyone is trying to con you!
30. Take photography classes.
31. Keep playing sports.
I'll add more as I think of them. ........................
