"Mom, how many am I?" Jayden asks this question about 3 times a day. Once in the morning when we drop off his sister to school, once when we pick her up, and once right before bedtime. He keeps asking, hoping that the next time, the answer will be different. The reason? He wants to go to school with his big sister!
He loves playing with Mikayla! It's the highlight of his day. As soon as he gets up in the morning, he heads straight for Mikayla's room. Mikayla, not being an early morning person (like mom), usually does not meet him with open arms. So most mornings start out with a "Moooooooommm, he did it again" from Mikayla, and a growl from Jayden, since he didn't get the reaction he wanted. (He's actually been really good the last week or so, about not waking her up so early. I guess all of our "Jayden you need to stop turning all the lights on & waking everyone up" talks finally payed off. Yay!) Anyway, whenever I drop Mikayla off at school, he usually gets really sad. Several times he's been in tears on the drive back home. It's so sad. As soon as we pull up to the house, he says "let's do det Bayla mama." It almost breaks my heart. My sweet Jayden...don't worry, you'll be able to go to school with Mikayla before you know it.
The poor little guy needs some boys to hang out with, though....okay I should say... boys his own age. He has his baby brother, but it's not quite the same. Normally I'm splitting Jayden & Tyler up because either Jayden's sitting on Tyler or taking his toy, or Tylers hitting or biting Jayden in retaliation for taking his toy. Plus Tyler's usually mom's little shadow. Wherever mom is, Tyler's right there by me. If I'm doing the dishes, he's standing on the edge of the dishwasher; if I'm doing laundry, he's either trying to put his hand in the laundry detergent or constantly shutting the door when I'm trying to put clothes in the washer & dryer; if I'm on the computer, Tyler's standing on the computer pushing buttons on the keyboard and knocking everything off of the desk, or getting into all of my drawers with all of my scrapbook supplies in. So as you can see, Tyler's usually occupied. The last couple of days; however, Tyler's actually starting to play cars and animals with Jayden. Which has been really good. It's so cute to watch. He does everything exactly like Jayden does.
Normally, Jayden is the only boy, surrounded by a bunch of girls. He doesn't mind though. Whenever they play house, he's always the dad. And he gets to play with the boy barbies, and be the boyfriend. :) (Yeh we're getting him ready early :). What can we say. Poor kid's already being bossed around by a bunch of girls. Boy! How am I going to explain this to him when he gets older. I can just imagine it now. "Mom, you let me play with barbies...& girls?" Oh yeh can't wait for that conversation.)

Yesterday we were trying to have our daily quiet time. Tyler was really fussy and cranky, and I was trying to settle him down for their little nap. I was rocking both boys in the rocking chair in their room.
Mom: You need a nap, baby. Jayden it's quiet time. Let's take a nap before Mikayla gets home from school.
Jayden: Otay mom. Tyler it's twiet time. So BE TWIET. shhhh, shhhh. Tyler it's bedtime tose (close) your eyes like dis. Mom, tan my tar (car) sleep with you, me & Tyler?
Mom: sure
Jayden: (singing) sleep with you, sleep with you, sleep with you, hmmmmmm.......:)
(Tyler accidently knocked his car off of the rocking chair)
Jayden: Tyler you awemost broke my tar.
Mom: Okay, Jayden get in your bed it's naptime. Let's see how fast you are.
(so of course Jayden runs to his bed as fast as he can :).
Jayden: (he does the victory dance and sings): Let's go, I'm moving, I won, oh yeh. I won, oh yeh (giggling)
Mom: Jayden who loves you the most?
Jayden: Probbee that oo. Or it's Tyler or dad or bayla or mom.
Mom: You know it.
